34 years!!

Today 34 years ago, I married Benjamin Federico de Hoyos! Hard to believe the time has flown by. I can't even picture in my mind life without him. Every day I am grateful to have him as my husband. He is a rock with a soft inside. His family is so important to him and everything he does is for us. He puts us first and he has always been that way. I love all the great adventures we have been through together. I love the mornings when I get breakfast in bed, I love the love note slipped into my bag when I went down the river with my sisters, I love his face when its first shaved, I love that he can make me smile when I am trying to be so mad,I love that he has patience for my short comings, I love that he loves deeply, I love that he loves the Gospel and wants to do what is right, I love that he loves his family even if he is in the other room, I love that he is still a boy and likes to do fun things and makes me try hard things, I love that I can tell him stories and he is patient and just listens even when he would rather be doing something else, I love that he would do most anything for me, even help me perm my own hair, I love that after all these things  that he chose me to be his eternal mate! So there you go. Today I am grateful to have a man that loves me for me and forever! I love you Benjamin Federico de Hoyos now and forever!!! Happy Anniversary Love !!!!

Beach time!!!

For those who aren't from California, one has this idea that the beach is always sunny in the summer and the water is warm!! Wrong! Here the beach can be very chilly and FOGGY during the summer and the water is COLD! The reason of course is that the water is cold cause its cold and in the north not down by Mexico. It's foggy because when the ground is warm and the water is cold it causes FOG! Go figure. For the past year while Ben has lived here without us, he has lived a block from the beach. Fun you think and most of the time it really was just cause it was the beach but most of the time it was chilly and foggy. Well yesterday, Tori, Adam and I went to the beach and it was great. The sand was warm close to hot and there was no FOG! Yes the water was still cold but it was like the beach should be. One more thing I am learning about being in California! Which I still have to say that I LOVE IT HERE! Miss Miss MISS my kids but love it here!

Where to begin!

So my girls have been bugging me to start a blog. They say its fun and so on so here I am! Not really sure what I am doing but here we go.Oh I chose this background cause it reminds me of here in the spring!! All green and beautiful!!!
Two months ago we moved here to California, not really something that I would have ever thought I would be doing at this stage in my life. I was in my own home with family around and yes life was very comfortable. A lot of my grandkids had moved away! Not happy about that but I did have 3 still around and 6 of my 8 children as well. Life was maybe too comfortable. I do believe that things happen at times when they are suppose to and well here we are in California! I have to say that even though I never thought I would live here, I love it!!! I love the people, I love the country side and I love how I feel inside ( most of the time ). This is a good thing and I hope to share what I learn cause I know there is a lot out there for me. SO here is the first one of many? Thanks girls, I love you all more than words can say and this means all my girls, birthed and borrowed!!!
